Les vacances d’été

I am away today but I wanted to get you started on our year-end project.
I would like you to draw yourself wearing sunglasses.  A template will be provided.
In the reflection of the sunglasses, please draw a summer scene of something that you plan to do on your holidays.  Later, we will be writing about it in French.
Enjoy and take your time.  We want these to be awesome art pieces.

Guest Teacher: Thursday, January 29th.

Bonjour!

I am away today learning about mindfulness.  Please help your guest teacher by being mindful of yourself and your work.

Grades 6, 8, 7:

Start by discussing the three questions of the day with your table groups.  Then, you guest teacher will ask some questions and you can answer.

You started your work yesterday.  You will be continuing with the same work today.  Please make this transition easy and pick up where you left off.  In case you forgot, here is your work in priority order:

1. Submit both your script and jpeg image to the Météo assignment in Classroom.  Last call!
2. Finish interviewing your partner using the questions on Activité 4A.
3. Create a profil personnel for your partner on the back side of the page Activité 4B
4. Work on and finish the worksheet on the passé composé.
5. Grab a wordsearch if done all work.  That includes anything in your portfolio.

Grades 5/6, 4/5:

I am looking for good reports from our guest teacher today.  Positive adjectives!!!!

Start by discussing the three questions of the day with your table groups.  Then, you guest teacher will ask some questions and you can answer.

Watch these two videos on Avoir and Etre:

1. Finish copying the {Expressions avec Avoir} from the chart paper.
2. Finish translating the 6 sentences from the chart paper.
3. Finish p. 16 “Expressions avec Avoir”
4. Start/Finish the worksheet on Être.  Your guest teacher can explain how to do it before you start.  You should be doing this on on lined paper.  No shortcuts.
5. Make sure everything is handed in to the guest teacher who will separate your work into piles.  If you work was not done correctly, your guest teacher will send you back to fix it.
6. When done 5/6, you can have a Chromebook to do French activities.  (Please get Chromebooks ahead of time from the library.)

After last recess, M. Horgan will be working with a small group of Junior students for math from Room 9.

I hope everyone had a great day.  Have a fantastic long weekend and see you on Monday!
